Content Moderation Policy

Gnammus is a social networking platform that allows anyone to share content, ideas, and thoughts through our platform. We are committed to providing a high-quality and secure service that allows for digital connections by breaking down geographic, linguistic, and cultural barriers, in compliance with applicable regulations and with a particular focus on privacy and freedom of expression. To build a rich, vibrant community that respects others' beliefs, we have developed a set of rules for good coexistence. The following sections outline our content moderation policies.

Please note that Gnammus opposes any form of ideological censorship, but out of respect for our users and applicable laws, we ask you to respect the following guidelines. All provisions of the Terms of Use, including these rules, are subject to change to adapt to changing social, technological, and legal landscapes.

Gnammus uses both human and automated moderation algorithms to prevent the publication of content that does not comply with the following rules. If you believe that content has been incorrectly moderated, you may request further review.

Content moderation applies only during the publication phase; no action or control is carried out on content, of any nature, whose publication is not requested by the user.

As with all Gnammus policies, these moderation policies are subject to Italian national regulations and case law, the European Community regulations, and, where applicable, the local laws where the user resides.

1. Content violating any applicable law or regulation.

Users are required to comply with all applicable laws and regulations when using our platform. This includes regional, national, and international laws.

You are responsible to adhere to local laws and regulations, including any restrictions on specific types of content. This means respecting local rules regarding what can and cannot be shared or sold.

2. Hate speech and discrimination:

You are prohibited from sharing, selling, or promoting any content that involves hate speech, making threats, or that engages in harassment targeting individuals or groups based on ethnicity, race, national origin, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, age, or disability. This includes any form of offensive language, content, or behavior that creates a disparaging environment.

3. Pornography, Child Sexual Abuse, or sexually explicit content:

We are committed to create a safe environment for all users, including minors.

You are prohibited from selling content that contains explicit nudity, pornography, or other sexually explicit material. This includes but is not limited to explicit images, videos, or discussions of a sexually explicit nature. We are committed to maintaining a safe and respectful environment for all users and might take action against any reported instances of inappropriate content.

Any content that is inappropriate, sexually explicit, or harmful for minors is strictly prohibited. This includes but is not limited to explicit language, graphic images, or adult themes. The distribution of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) or any other material depicting or justifying exploitation of children is strongly prohibited. Engaging in activities related to CSAM, such as the sending, sharing, or distributing of such content, will result in immediate account suspension, content removal, and reporting to authorities.

We reserve the right to take any additional measures deemed necessary.

4. Violence or graphic content promoting or glorifying violence:

We prohibit the sharing of any real-world violence or content which depicts any acts of cruelty, assault, attacks or graphic imagery such as abuse towards people, death or wounding and any terror or violent extremist propaganda. You are also prohibited from sharing contents which depicts any acts of vandalism, cruelty or unneeded and unjustified violence towards animals.

5. Misinformation, including fake news, conspiracy theories, and false or harmful informations:

You are prohibited from sharing or promoting misinformation, which includes fake news, conspiracy theories, and false information. This encompasses any content that presents inaccurate or deliberately misleading information with the potential to deceive or harm individuals or communities, including contents created with deep-fake technology, AI-generated material, or manipulated media with the intent to deceive or mislead others.

6. Content invading privacy or violating personal rights, infringing on intellectual property rights, copyrighted material, trademarks, and patents:

You are not allowed to share, or promote contents that invade privacy or violate the personal rights of any individual. This includes but is not limited to unauthorized sharing of private information or sensitive personal data, without explicit consent.

Users are prohibited from sharing or selling content that violates intellectual property rights, such as copyrighted material, trademarks, and patents, without proper authorization or legal entitlement. This includes but is not limited to unauthorized distribution, reproduction, or modification of protected content.

7. Content promoting or encouraging self-harm or suicide:

Users are prohibited to share or promote any content that encourages or promotes self-harm or suicide, with particular attention to, but not limited to, eating disorders, extreme diets, or the use of dangerous ingredients or drugs.

This includes but is not limited to explicit instructions or discussions that may incite harm to oneself or others.

8. Content designed to impersonate another individual or entity for malicious purposes:

Impersonating someone else or pretending to be a organization is forbidden. This includes creating fake profiles or content to deceive or harm others.

9. Any content violating our Terms of Service or other policies:

In general, our users are required to adhere to our Terms of Service and other policies governing the use of our platform. This includes all the rules and guidelines we've set in place across the service.

Content that violates these terms and policies will be promptly removed, and appropriate action might be taken against you.
